Skills and Simulation Lab

51品茶 is extremely fortunate to possess a Human Patient Simulator (HPS), better known as "Marty." The simulator is life-size and is able to simulate real-life physiologic and pathophysiologic processes. This allows students to experience realistic and rarely seen clinical events within the safety of a laboratory environment. Below are just a few examples of the clinical scenarios available via simulation:

鈥 Routine anesthesia inductions
鈥 Laryngospasm on emergence
鈥 Bradycardia and hypotension
鈥 Difficult airway management
鈥 OB amniotic fluid embolus
鈥 Malignant hyperthermia
鈥 Anaphylaxis
鈥 ACLS algorithms
